Get Started with AISIX Cloud

AISIX Cloud centralizes gateway management across teams and environments without requiring you to operate the control plane. API7 operates the control plane and dashboard, while you operate AISIX gateways in your infrastructure.

Applications send live AI traffic directly through those gateways. Model requests do not pass through the AISIX Cloud control plane or API7.

Request Access​

AISIX Cloud is not currently available through public self-service registration. Contact API7 to request access, a trial, or a demo, or email support@api7.ai. AISIX Cloud is also available through AWS Marketplace.

After API7 provisions access, sign in to the dashboard and continue with Organizations and Environments. Create or select an environment, then connect an AISIX gateway.

Understand the Operating Model​

The control plane provides centralized resource management, certificate issuance, access governance, usage and cost controls, and visibility into gateway health. Each gateway initiates outbound mTLS connections to receive configuration updates and report health and usage.

AISIX Cloud and AISIX Enterprise use the same control-plane implementation and share a core resource model, so their core dashboard, organization, environment, and gateway-connection workflows are similar. They remain separate products and can differ in supported APIs and product-specific operations. See AISIX Enterprise and Cloud Overview for the shared architecture and responsibility boundaries.

For automation, use the operations documented in the AISIX Enterprise / Cloud Admin API. The reference is the supported public contract and marks product-specific operations.

Continue Setup​

Once you have access:

  1. Create or select an organization and environment.
  2. Connect an AISIX gateway from your infrastructure.
  3. Add a provider key, create a model alias, and create a caller API key that can use the model.
  4. Send an OpenAI-compatible chat request through the gateway.
  5. Review usage reporting, budgets, and logging and auditing.

For Cloud-only identity onboarding, continue with Organization Domains.

Evaluate the Shared Workflow Locally​

If you want to evaluate the core management and gateway workflow before arranging Cloud access, get started with AISIX Enterprise. The guide starts the shared control-plane implementation, dashboard, and a connected gateway on one machine.

The Enterprise quickstart is not an AISIX Cloud trial. It does not reproduce API7-operated services or Cloud-only workflows such as verified organization domains. Use an API7-provisioned Cloud organization when those differences are part of your evaluation.
