Users

Create User

Add a user who can log in to the API7 Enterprise dashboard and set initial permissions for the user.

• The username cannot be duplicated.
• One user can have multiple roles.

1. Log in to the API7 Enterprise dashboard.
2. In the top navigation menu, click on Access Control.
3. In the left menu bar, click on Users .
4. Click on Create button.
5. Fill in the form.
6. Click on Submit button.

Configure User

Edit the attributes and roles of a user.

• The username cannot be modified.
• The password cannot be modified by configuring the user. Please refer to "Reset Password".

1. Log in to the API7 Enterprise dashboard.
2. In the top navigation menu, click on Access Control.
3. In the left menu bar, click on Users .
4. Click on Configure button of the specific user.
5. Edit the attributes and roles of the user.
6. Click on Submit button.

Delete User

Prohibit a user from logging in to the API7 Enterprise dashboard and delete the record.

• The deletion cannot be undone, so please be cautious.

1. Log in to the API7 Enterprise dashboard.
2. In the top navigation menu, click on Access Control.
3. In the left menu bar, click on Users .
4. Click on More button corresponding to the user, and then click on Delete in the drop-down menu.
5. Click on Confirm button.

Reset Password

Reset the password to a new one when a user forgets their password.

1. Log in to the API7 Enterprise dashboard.
2. In the top navigation menu, click on Access Control.
3. In the left menu bar, click on Users .
4. Click on More button corresponding to the user, and then click on Reset Password in the drop-down menu.
5. Enter the new password.
6. Click on Submit button.

Lock User

Lock a user account to temporarily prevent the user from logging in to the API7 Enterprise dashboard.

• Only users with a status of "unlocked" can be locked.

1. Log in to the API7 Enterprise dashboard.
2. In the top navigation menu, click on Access Control.
3. In the left menu bar, click on Users .
4. Click on More button for the corresponding user, then click on Lock in the dropdown menu.
5. Click on OK button.

Validate: The corresponding user cannot log in to the API7 Enterprise dashboard temporarily and must be manually unlocked.

Unlock User

Restore a locked user to allow them to log in to the API7 Enterprise dashboard.

• Only users with a status of "locked by administrator" can be unlocked.

1. Log in to the API7 Enterprise dashboard.
2. In the top navigation menu, click on Access Control.
3. In the left menu bar, click on Users .
4. Click on More button for the corresponding user, then click on Unlock in the dropdown menu.
5. Click on OK button.

Authorize User

Edit a user's role. Other user attributes cannot be modified through authorizing users.

1. Log in to the API7 Enterprise dashboard.
2. In the top navigation menu, click on Access Control.
3. In the left menu bar, click on Users .
4. Click on More button for the corresponding user, then click on Authorize in the dropdown menu.
5. Edit the user's role.
6. Click on Submit button.
