Global Plugin

Enable Global Plugin

To configure all existing and future routes/APIs in Workspaces with the same set of plugins, such as authentication and security plugins, and to avoid duplicate or inconsistent configurations, you can use global plugins to manage the configuration.

  • If a plugin has already been enabled in global plugins and the same plugin is configured repeatedly on a route/API, the configuration in global plugins takes precedence.
  1. Log in to the API7 Enterprise dashboard.
  2. In the top navigation menu, click on Cluster Management .
  3. In the left menu bar, click on Cluster List .
  4. Click on View button for the specific cluster.
  5. In the left menu bar, click on Workspaces .
  6. Click on View button for the specific workspace.
  7. In the left menu bar, click on Global Plugin .
  8. Click on Enable button.
  9. Select the plugins you want to enable and click on Enable button for each.
  10. In the Plugin Editor , toggle the Enable switch.
  11. In the Raw Data Editor , edit the plugin parameters (optional, some plugins can be used without any configuration).
  12. Click on Submit button.
  13. You can enable multiple plugins as needed.
  14. After all plugins have been enabled, click on Submit button.

Configure Global Plugins

Edit the plugins and parameters enabled in the global plugins.

  • All routes/APIs under this workspace will be affected by the edited global plugins.
  1. Log in to the API7 Enterprise dashboard.
  2. In the top navigation menu, click on Cluster Management .
  3. In the left menu bar, click on Cluster List .
  4. Click on View button for the specific cluster.
  5. In the left menu bar, click on Workspaces .
  6. Click on View button for the specific workspace.
  7. In the left menu bar, click on Global Plugin .
  8. Click on Configure button for the corresponding plugin.
  9. In the Raw Data Editor , edit the plugin parameters (optional, some plugins can be used without any configuration).
  10. Click on Submit button.

Delete Global Plugins

Stop using global plugins. Deleted global plugins cannot be restored, so use caution when performing this operation.

  1. Log in to the API7 Enterprise dashboard.
  2. In the top navigation menu, click on Cluster Management .
  3. In the left menu bar, click on Cluster List .
  4. Click on View button for the specific cluster.
  5. In the left menu bar, click on Workspaces .
  6. Click on View button for the specific workspace.
  7. In the left menu bar, click on Global Plugin .
  8. Click on Delete button for the corresponding plugin.
  9. Click on Confirm button.
