Create Workspace

When it is necessary to isolate business data and usage habits of different departments/organizations, but there is no need to isolate underlying gateway resources (data plane and control plane and etcd), multiple workspaces can be created.

Each workspace can independently manage its own upstreams, routes/APIs, and consumer resources, and perform unified hostname management and plugin configuration.

• When a cluster fails, all workspaces in the cluster will be equally affected.
• The hostnames of different workspaces under the same cluster cannot be duplicated.

1. Log in to the API7 Enterprise dashboard.
2. In the top navigation menu, click on Cluster Management .
3. In the left menu bar, click on Cluster List .
4. Click on View button of the specific cluster.
5. In the left menu bar, click on Workspaces .
6. Click on Create button.
7. Fill in the form.
8. Click on Submit button.

Configure Workspaces

Edit the name, remark, and hostname of the workspace.

• When there are existing routes/APIs in the Workspace, the hostname cannot be modified.

1. Log in to the API7 Enterprise dashboard.
2. In the top navigation menu, click on Cluster Management .
3. In the left menu bar, click on Cluster List .
4. Click on View button of the specific cluster.
5. In the left menu bar, click on Workspaces .
6. Click on the Configure button of the corresponding Workspace.
7. Edit the name, remark, and hostname of the Workspace.
8. Click on Submit button.

Delete Workspaces

All APIs and resources in the workspace are offline and will no longer be used.

• All routes/APIs in the workspace must be deleted first.

1. Log in to the API7 Enterprise dashboard.
2. In the top navigation menu, click on Cluster Management .
3. In the left menu bar, click on Cluster List .
4. Click on View button of the specific cluster.
5. In the left menu bar, click on Workspaces .
6. Confirm that all routes/APIs in the workspace have been deleted.
7. Click on the Delete button of the corresponding workspace.
8. Click on Confirm button.
